Marie Parker has over 23 years of transportation experience in the public sector and has worked in a variety of roles throughout her professional career, including Finance, Operations, and Executive Management.  Throughout her professional career, she has worked to pursue innovative technology, enhanced safety and service for customers, increased system efficiency, capital improvements, and improved customer satisfaction.  As a result, she has led agencies to many statewide and nationwide awards, including the NCPTA’s North Carolina’s Transit System of the Year Award for 2019, 2020, and 2022.  Marie serves on the Board of Directors for the North Carolina and American Public Transportation Association(s).  She is originally from Raleigh, NC and is a graduate of North Carolina State University.

Jon Dodson joined Wave Transit in May 2022 as Deputy Director. He has over a decade of experience in transit and transportation planning. In his role as Wave Transit’s Deputy Director, Jon oversees operations and planning, including fixed-route and paratransit services. Before joining Wave in May 2022, Jon worked for GoTriangle (RTP, NC) and CARTA (Charleston, SC).

He holds a Master of Urban and Regional Planning from the University of New Orleans as well as dual bachelor’s degrees from UNC-Chapel Hill.

Lance joined Wave Transit as Director of Finance in October 2022. He manages all aspects of Wave’s financial, accounting, and funding activities. He has more than 16 years of transportation industry financial management experience at Amtrak and Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) where he directed the financial planning, funding, and grants management functions.

Before joining the transportation industry, Lance held financial management roles in the private sector.  Originally from Lexington, VA, he holds a Bachelor’s degree from Washington & Lee University.

Requests and Feedback

Customers and community members may request new bus stop locations, bus stop amenities, ADA accommodations, or our attention to other needs. Request forms and contact information is available below.

Additionally, customers may submit feedback or complaint regarding service. Our goal is to provide safe, timely, and courteous service to our customers. If we didn’t meet this goal, please let us know.

To submit a complaint, please complete the form below and send by post or email. Wave Transit attempts to resolve all complaints within twenty-one (21) business days.  After the investigation into a complaint has been conducted, notification of resolution can be provided if requested. Thank you for assisting Wave Transit in providing quality service.

Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Complaints

Bus Stop Requests

We accept requests for bus stop amenities (such as benches), and additional bus stop locations. Please send your request in writing by post or email. To  request a bus stop location please complete the form below and submit by post or email.

Freedom of Information Act Requests

The Freedom of Information Act (North Carolina Public Records Law, G.S. §132-1.) is a North Carolina statute that provides the public with the right to access government documents and records. The law provides that a person can ask a public body for a copy of its records on a specific subject and the public body must provide those records, unless there is an exemption in the statute that protects those records from disclosure (for example: records containing information concerning trade secrets or personal privacy).
