How to Apply

All applicants must complete a Wave Transit Application for Employment. A link to the appropriate application is indicated under the position listing. Hard copy applications can be picked up at the information desk at Forden Station located at 505 Cando St. Wilmington, NC 28405. Resumes will not be accepted without an application. Most positions with Wave Transit or its contractors are classified as safety sensitive and are subject to all FTA requirements for safety sensitive positions including: pre-employment, random, post accident, reasonable suspicion and return to work drug and alcohol screening.
Fixed-route operators and maintenance personnel are required to have a valid Class B Commercial Driver License with a Passenger (P) endorsement issued by the state of North Carolina.
