Route Changes 2020
On Saturday, January 18, 2020 the Downtown transfer location at 2nd St. and Princess St. was permanently relocated to 520 North 3rd St. and changes were made to the following routes: 101, 104, 108, 201, 202, 203 (Downtown Trolley), 204, 205, 207, 209, and 301. Changes to each route are outlined below.
Changes to routes 202, 203, and 204 are a result of the relocation of the current downtown transfer point to the new Downtown Transfer Station at 520 North 3rd St. Changes to routes 101, 104, 108, 201, 205, 207, 209, and 301 are the result of recommendations to improve system efficiency from Wave’s 5 year, Short Range Transit Plan (SRTP). 101 Princess Place
Route 101 will now serve the Creekwood neighborhood but will no longer serve the Sigmon Rd. Walmart bus stop. The Sigmon Rd. Walmart bus stop will be served by route 108. A bus stop will be added on Market St. between New Center Dr. and Walton Rd. which will provide access to WalMart via Route 101.
Route 104 will be modified so that it connects to route 207 in the Gordon Rd. area. This will allow for safer transfer between the two routes.
108 Market Street
Route 108 will now serve the Sigmon Rd. Walmart location.
201 Carolina Beach Rd.
Route 201 will no longer serve George Anderson Dr., St. Andrews Dr., nor 17th St. A new route, 210, will be added to provide service along the 17th St. corridor and St. Andrews Dr. Three (3) bus stops on George Anderson Dr. will no longer have service. Customers wishing to access bus service from George Anderson Dr. can travel to stops located on Carolina Beach Rd. and 17th St.
202 Oleander West
Minor changes will be made to route 202 resulting from the relocation of the downtown transfer point to the new Transit Center at North 3rd and Campbell St.
203 Port City Trolley
Minor changes will be made to route 203 (Port City Trolley) resulting from the relocation of the downtown transfer point to the new Transit Center at North 3rd and Campbell St.
204 Brunswick Connector
Minor changes will be made to route 204 resulting from the relocation of the downtown transfer point to the new Transit Center at North 3rd and Campbell St.
205 Long Leaf Park
Route 205 will serve some stops currently on route 209 including Greenfield St. and 5th St. on the inbound to the new Downtown Transfer Station. Four (4) bus stops on 10th St will change: two stops will no longer be served and two stops will now be served by the new route, 210. The two bus stops on Castle St. will also be served by the new route 210.
Route 207 will be modified so that it connects to route 104 in the Gordon Rd. area. This will allow for safer transfer between the two routes.
Route 209 will be revised to route 210. All bus stops, with the exception of four (4) bus stops on Independence Blvd. (which will no longer be served), will be served by routes 210 and 205. Please refer to Route 210 information below for a revised schedule.
210 South 17th St.
Route 209 will be revised to Route 210. The new route will provide service along South 17th St., College Rd., St. Andrews Dr. and to Monkey Junction.
Routes 107 and 301
The schedules for Routes 107 and 301 are affected by the revision in service hours effective January 6, 2020.
Under the revised hours, service for Route 301 Pleasure Island will be provided four (4) times a day, Monday thru Friday and three (3) times per day on Saturday and Sunday. The revised schedule for this route is as follows:
- Weekdays – 7:30 am, 10:30 am, 1:30 pm, and 4:30 pm
- Weekends – 10:30 am, 1:30 pm and 4:30 pm
Route 107 College Rd. departs Forden Station during the following times:
- Weekdays – 6:00am, 7:00am, 9:00 am, 10:00 am, 12:00 pm, 1:00 pm, 3:00 pm, 4:00 pm, 6:00 pm and 7:00 pm (returning to Forden Station and concluding service at 8:00 pm)
- Weekends – 10:00 am, 12:00 pm, 1:00 pm, 3:00 pm, and 4:00 pm (returning to Forden Station and concluding service at 6:00 pm)
