Azalea Shuttle

Going to the Azalea Festival Parade? Leave your parking hassles behind. On Saturday, April 13, 2013, Wave Transit will offer shuttle service from Independence Mall to the corner of Second and Dock Streets in downtown Wilmington. Shuttle service will begin at 7:00 am and run until the Parade begins. Following the Parade, express shuttle service will return passengers to Independence Mall until 2:00 pm. Shuttles will run approximately every fifteen minutes. For those staying downtown after the parade ends, you can ride regular route Wave Transit buses from dowtown to the mall. Click here for detailed bus route information . Fares are only $2.00 each way and change will be available. Children under five ride free with a fare paying adult. Advance and group ticket sales are available. 
Shuttle service for the Azalea Festival parade will be provided from 7:00am to 2:00pm. Service will originate at Independence Mall in the parking lot located behind Firehouse Subs and Wells Fargo. Shuttle tickets can be purchased at this location. The shuttle will run from the mall to 2nd St. and Dock St. The last shuttle will leave 2nd St. and Dock St. at 1:30pm. Individuals wishing to stay downtown after 1:30pm, can catch Route 202 at the top of every hour for transportation back to Independence Mall. Azalea Festival shuttle tickets will be honored by the driver.
Wave Transit’s downtown transfer center will be relocated to 5th St. and Market St. from 6:00am to 1:00pm. Bus service will return to the downtown transfer center location at 2:00pm.
