Community Grants

Wave Transit offers an annual opportunity for nonprofits, local government, and private providers of public transportation to apply for grant funding to support transportation projects for people age 65 and over and people with disabilities. Programs funded through this grant opportunity work to remove barriers to transportation, and increase mobility options for people with disabilities and older adults in our community.

FY2025 Section 5310 Community Grant Application
March 19, 2024: First day to submit application for 5310 funds
April 30, 2024: Last day to submit application for 5310 funds
May 2023: Applicants notified of selection
July 2023: Funding available

Notice of Public Meeting

The next regularly scheduled meeting of the Cape Fear Public Transportation Authority will be held Thursday, April 25, 2024 at 12:30pm at Forden Station located at 505 Cando St., Wilmington, NC 28405.

Note: Virtual attendance is not available and meetings will begin at 12:30pm, unless otherwise stated.

A public comment period limited to five (5) minutes per person will be offered at the meeting. For community members who wish to provide comment without attending the meeting, a hard copy comment form can be downloaded or picked up from a Wave Transit transfer station. Completed forms must be submitted by 5:00 pm the day before the meeting via e-mail to info@wavetransit.com. Comments can be provided in person or via written form. ADA accommodations will be provided upon request. Inquiries for ADA accommodations and general information about the meeting should be addressed by email to info@wavetransit.com or by phone at (910) 343-0106 prior to the meeting.
